BMW M6 Convertible Asia Preview
Guests were also treated to close door previews where they got up close and personal with the M6 on Friday and Saturday at events held by Sincere Fine Watches and UOB Group.
In only the second public appearance after its global debut at the recent New York International Auto Show, the new M6 convertible has already raked in 10 pre-orders as of Friday afternoon.
Honoured to be the first in Asia to showcase the third-generation M6, Mr Neil Fiorentinos, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, said there is a growing demand for BMW M cars in Singapore.
Speaking about the latest addition to the family, he said: "The new BMW M6 Convertible offers top-class performance attributes and an ambience defined by luxurious and innovative comfort features.
BMW M6 Convertible Specs
The four-seater boasts a high-revving 4.4-litre, V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission. The 560-hp V8 in the M6 gets the convertible sprinting from 0 to 100km in 4.3 seconds.
Expected to arrive in Singapore in July, the new BMW M6 Convertible records average fuel consumption of 10.3l / 100km and CO2 emissions of 239 g/km in the EU test cycle. "Despite a 10 per cent increase in engine output and a 30 per cent jump in peak torque - to 680 Nm - fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by over 30 per cent compared with its respective predecessor, thanks to Efficient Dynamics," added Mr Fiorentinos.
Fitted with a soft-top, "fin" styling and fully electronic opening mechanism, the M6 convertible comes in non-metallic and eight metallic shades (including four exclusive M finishes) for the exterior paintwork.
The soft-top for the new BMW M6 Convertible is available in Black and Beige, or - as an option - in Anthracite Silver effect. Specially catering to the Singapore market, the M6 convertible also comes in 'Singapore grey'.
